I took a basic pullover sweater for Ernie and just striped it like the Sesame Street character. Because Bert’s stripes are up and down I seached until I found a pattern for a pullover that was knit side to side. It came out surprisingly well. These sweaters were to be Halloween costumes for young brothers. I added matching hats and they were a big hit and fit quite well.
