I chose the colors for this cape from a brooch I have that has dark pink gemstones in a tarnished silver marcasite setting. I used a strand of each of these yarns and it turned out fairly heavy. I didn’t have enough black yarn so half of it is magenta and black and half is magenta and navy. It actually came out alright though as the navy is on the lacier part and the collar and the black is on the rest of the top half making it seem strategically placed. The magenta yarn has metallic threads. I didn’t block it because I like the way it drapes with some ruffle and I didn’t want to lose that.
