GAAAAA! these socks are giving me fits! I ripped back and redid the heel on both socks, which now fit perfectly. Then realized the sock two had a HUGE section of orange yarn that needed to come out. I tried working the sock with it, but it looked stupid. Cut that out and ripped back to redo the heel with a 2nd ball. So I could maintain the color change and possible find a place for a transition into the orange color. and promptly snapped my needle

I’m taking a break from these for a bit, even though I do like them. I don’t believe in stressing over something this much. I expect they’ll be fin again when I pick them up in a couple of days.

Basic toe, increasing EOR to 60 stitches, then working even until 20 rows are completed.

Instep pattern is a 6 row right twist cable, one cable is over 4 stitches and the other over 2 stitches with one purl in between.

FLK heel.

9 rows of k2,p2 rib and sewn bind off.

Cabling doesn’t show well with yarn but feels nice.

Future changes: work the sole over 26 stitches from the git go, as the heel is a little too deep and the end of heel decreases wouldn’t be necessary.
