Notes

I don’t know why, but the colors remind me of the Hulk.

Each sock weighs 32.6 grams (113 yards each).

Using Navy (this navy colorway is gray) for ribbing and toe. Thought about using it for the heel, but I want to do the fancy pants matching stripes on the afterthought heel.

Knit majority of the sock body on my 9 inch circular. I’ve been practicing using the tips and flicking, which makes it much easier for me to use the smaller needles. Used ML for the toe, heel, and ribbing. Still pretty awkward for me to do 1x1 twisted rib with the small circular.

Cut out the gray and white striping yarn. Each ball has three repeats of the striping pattern. Used one repeat for the foot, one for the leg, and a little bit of the third for the heel. I plan to use the remainder for a gray/white footie.

Toe up, Kfb increases on the toe (it’s good enough for Wendy Johnson!) place waste yarn for the after thought heel, as I couldn’t stand the thought of cutting and then having such a small length to weave in. Measured for the heel placement using another sock that fits well.

Decreased the heel down to 12 stitches, then even further by passing a stitch over each end stitch before kitchener stitches.
