I knit 4 of these from 18 month to 9 years old sized. Use Berroco Comfort in green, white and red. Have to block carefully in cold water with vinegar, as the red is very bleedy, or maybe not block at all!

Hat 1 and 2
Cast on 80 st with 4.0 mm needles using long tail cast on.
8 rows of green 2 x 2 rib then stripes. First decrease on row 4 of 6th stripe, then every 8th row after.

• one hat has multi-coloured pompom and the other has green. For Avery and Noelle - age 6/7.
• bottom photo is with baby Santa hat.

Hat 3 - used 4.5 mm needles and started decreases on 7th stripe.
- green pompom. For Anneke age 9

Hat 4 - used 4.0 mm needle and 72 sitches for Juniper (age 18 months).

• 7 rows green 2 x 2 rib then switch to red stockinette.
