This was the prototype of a new design inspired by Alexandra who was going through 12 chemo sessions to attack her stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

This prototype was testing different yarns in the various sections (fingering or light fingering) , different colours - variegated and tonal, and the bias shaping, which I have not seen anywhere before.

I wanted something as unique as Alexandra
Knitting a double thickness cowl on the pure horiztonal would have been a 400+ stitch count to start and even I would lose the will to finish it.
I didn’t want a pure vertical tube knit either and I wanted to hide the floats for a nice clean look and a way that you could throw the cowl on and twist it and it wouldn’t matter. The motif is visible on both sides.
