Had to wind off 7.1 grams to get the second skein to start in the same spot. Too bad, since these always run short. Perhaps I can splice it in at the end.

Gauge is 7.5 or so spi and 10 rpi. If I need 3” on each half of the heel, I need 30 rows with short rows over 40 stitches. 10 stitch gusset.

Didn’t like how the heel came out. Sweet tomato heel over 42 stitches.

Maybe 3, maybe 2 1/2 wedges.

I seem to have lost the little ball of yarn I removed to get the second skein to start in the right spot.

Provisional cast on for sock two - I figure that will let me line up the stripes better.

For some reason, the second sock went much faster.

Unfortunately, the two balls have slightly different dye patterns. The lengths of the color bands are the same, but one is much darker and sort of blurrier than the other.

I like the lighter better. Of course.
