2017-11-09 = I only have 1 ball of the French Lilac so I am going to wait until I can get a second ball before I begin.
2017-11-21 = Bought some more thread. Finished rounds 1-9 today. I found it funny that I bought the first skein a few months ago in the small town where my parents live and when I went back today to get another skein, it was from the same dye lot.
2017-11-24 = After each “petal” row is completed, my work ruffled really heavily, but I found that after a few more rounds, it begins to flatten out. Not to worry! And as always, blocking can salvage even the worst ruffling, I’ve found.
2017-11-26 = Round 28 is really slow but is coming out really nice.
2017-11-28 = Finished! Currently on the blocking board.
Round 11= I did FP-dc4tog in the valleys; instead of 2 FPDC I did FP-2DC-clusters; and I did “FPDC, CH 2, SC in side of last stitch, FPDC” around tips.
Round 15 = Same changes as round 11.
Rounds 12 and 16 = I did not do BPSCs. Instead, I did a regular SC into the next BPDC like the other stitches of these rounds.
Round 19 = Ooops! I accidentally did 1 FPDC at a time instead of 2, so in round 20, instead of doing 2 and 1, I did 3 around 1 because I had to make up for the mistake of leaving 1 out. Shouldn’t affect it at all, I think. I also left out the ch1 spaces between the FPDC and BPDC on accident, but those are not an issue either. Pay attention, Grace!
Round 24 = Changed FP-2TRTR-clusters into 3.
Round 26 = Changed the way the FPSC are done; I did them as regular FPSC stitches just for convenience.
Round 33 = Changed the “5 DC in next SC” to “3 DC in next SC, SLST in ch3 space directly below from round 32, 3 DC in same stitch of round 31” each time in this round; changed the “3 DC in next SC” (at the tips) to “4 DC in next SC” to match the previous stitch instruction so that the tips are even.
Round 34 = I changed most of this round because I’d already made significant changes in previous rounds. This is how I did this round: “CH 1, FPDC around each of the next 2 DC, FP-2DC-cluster around next 2 DC (wrapped around both stitches as if they are one stitch), CH 3, SC in side of cluster just made, FPDC around each of the next 2 DC, SC in next space of round 32 twice, FPDC around each of the next 3 DC of round 33, CH 1, FP-2TC-cluster around next 2 DC (wrapped around both stitches as if they are one stitch), CH 3, SC in side of cluster just made, FPDC around each of the next 3 DC, SC in next space of round 32, FPDC around each of the next 2 DC, FP-2DC-cluster around next 2 DC (wrapped around both stitches as if they are one stitch), CH 3, SC in side of cluster just made, FPDC around each of the next 2 DC twice, sc2tog using next 2 spaces of round 32” around.
