Instructions
Panel Knitting
Panel knitting creates a single sheet of fabric instead of a tube of fabric. You work back and forth around the loom instead of in rounds.
1. Wrap yarn around pegs on outside of loom as indicated on pattern. Turn at last peg.
- Wrap second loop around the second to last peg.
- Continue wrapping back to first peg.
- Knit off and continue wrapping and knitting back and forth until your fabric is the desired length. Note: You will only be able to knit off the two end pegs every other row.
Panel Finishing Starting with last two loops in the row, insert crochet hook or pick from right to left through two loops and slip them off pegs. Pull second last loop through last loop. Slip next loop off the peg and pull it through remaining loop on crochet hook. Continue back along row to the first loop. Cut yarn, leaving a 5” 12.5 cm end. End by pulling wrapping yarn through the last loop on crochet hook. Pull it tight and weave in end.
Wallet With 2 strands of yarn tog, wrap first 10 pegs. Follow instructions for Panel Knitting. Knit until work measures 7” 18 cm. Remove work from loom following Panel Finishing instructions.
Finishing With sewing thread, sew cast on and cast off edges along zipper edge. Fold work as per diagram. Whip st side seams tog. Glue wiggle eyes, as shown in picture.
