This hat is always a great go to pattern.

(Didn’t use this yarn. I didn’t like the fabric for this project. But it will be turned into something else, maybe a warm shawl? »»Yarn from an unraveled wool (pretty sure?) sweater from Goodwill. I have quite a bit that frogged in one long length. And some other bits that were salvaged in shorter but manageable enough to knit lengths. Put sweater in the freezer a few weeks. Then washed and skeined it up to air dry. Hopefully enough for a hat and some mitts.)

INSTEAD»> I used the yarn from a long languishing WIP. Aran weight I believe. Hat came out too small for intended recipient (regardless, it’s lovely), but will fit any number of my grandchildren or great nieces nephews etc etc etc.

I should have made the adult medium, but because I wasn’t sure of the yarn weight and my gauge if usually loose I went down to a sm adult. :/
