Started picking out colors end of June. All from stash. Have them figured now and started crocheting on Independence Day.

Still undecided on my 4th color…either a nice barn red or an indigo-ish blue. I’ll let the shawl tell me when I get there.

DEFINITELY used the larger hook when prescribed. DEFINITELY tried to remember to go back to the smaller hook when done with those rows. In both instances I could tell soon after if I didn’t remember to use the correct hook.

Having to do more counting than I thought to keep things on track. No problem with the pattern, it’s all me. And hey, I can count, so it’s all good. Or can I actually count…perhaps therein lies my problems???

I was heading towards a blue finish, but wasn’t feeling either of the blues I tried. (And I really tried too. That was a lot of HDCs folks. Twice I took out 4 rows of 400 plus HDCs. TWICE.)

So, now heading into the sunset with Peach Bellini I do believe. It’s my favorite Fiberspates color ever. So why not? Please let the counting skillz kick in Lord.

Its been done a couple weeks.
Even ends were woven in.

But.

Finally.

Pinned out the Waroo this morning. The colors are perfect. And I was surprised (pleasantly) by how much the depth grew.

Can’t wait to get it off the blocking pads!

Annnnd it’s off the pins and came out lovely. I like the colors. I’m happy with how it blocked out. The yarn is squishy. The design wears very easy on the shoulders and fits well.

It’s all very very very good.
