Notes

General notes:

HAVING TROUBLE WITH INCREASES? Here is the post where I share how I did it: https://www.ravelry.com/discuss/fans-of-veronika-lindberg...

Next time consider excluding hem ribbing, or don’t drop down a needle size. It rides up and I have to tug it down often

Swatched with Drops Kidsilk in almond (which coordinated nicely) and moon dust grey. Just didn’t add anything except making the color a smidge darker. The halo was negligible in comparison to the Manchelopi knitted solo, so going to save the mohair for another project.

Only 10 rows left in yoke increase section

Placed sleeves on holder, cast on underarm stitches and joined to work body

June 5, 2023

Spent yesterday knitting backwards it seems. I made the first set of body decreases the other night and just kept zooming along. Yesterday afternoon, I noticed that about 12 rows back I accidentally knitted my purls and purled my knits for about 14 stitches. So I learned how to drop brioche stitches down to the mistake and pick them back up with a crochet hook (Sundragon on YouTube). Good skill to have and I got a lot of practice. It took about an hour.

Next, as I continued on, I realized I wasn’t happy with the appearance of my decreases. I somehow messed them up and there were gaping holes. I contemplated it for awhile… maybe just duplicate knit over them at the end? Ultimately I decided I would rather be happy with it so spent about 2 hours tinking back 5 rounds, re-did the decreases, and walked away. So after 3+ hours of knitting time, I was at the exact same place I started. Womp womp. But I’m happy with the appearance now and a day lost isn’t so bad.

Began waist ribbing

June 11, 2023

Finished waist ribbing. Bound off in pattern, no special bind off. Starting sleeves tomorrow!

June 16, 2023

Bound off first sleeve and started second sleeve. Knitted an extra decrease repeat (9 instead of 8) also accidentally made a couple of the repeats a round or 2 short. It will be hard to get a matching 2nd sleeve lol

NOTE ABOUT SLEEVES
To stay in pattern, i picked up two extra underarm stitches and ended up with sleeves in the second pattern size. Which is why I did an extra decrease round. In hindsight, I think the two extra underarm picked up stitches are supposed to be knitted together. I would have avoided the extra sleeve stitches. Duh! Take note if I make this again

June 22, 2023

Took at least a week longer than I anticipated. Finished blocking and it’s drying out in the sun and I cannot WAIT to try it on!

Finished measurements (it’s huge lol)
46” around bust (23” /59 cm flat)
16” /41 cm sleeve from underarm
24.5”/ 64 cm length from collar to hem
15.5” /40 cm across waist hem (flat)
