I have a 23 3/8” head size, so I needed to scale this up just a smidge, both in height and depth. Über-pleased with the results, as with the two-tone results.

(The Pleasure and Malabrigo yarns only show up in the tassels.)

Mods:

• cast on 86 stitches

• worked 10 rows of ribbing (12 or 14 might have been even better since I like how it looks with the ribbing folded back)

• decreased in the garter section until I got to the pattern’s specified number of stitches

• cast on 8 more stitches before joining in the round as Lisseut did (giving me decreases in 9 places instead of 8)

• worked 10 rounds of plain stockingette before starting back decreases

• cut a long tail of my garter stitch CC and used it to crochet across the 8 extra stitches in the back, for reinforcement
