i’ve been saving and saving my indie yarn balls from the rainbow sock yarn swaps over at blankie mania just for the day i got pregnant so i could make this blanket.
i have to say it’s totally addictive- so exciting to see how the colors all come together! it knit up super fast and i really enjoyed it.

heartbreakingly, before i’d gotten the chance to weave in the ends, we found out i’d suffered a miscarriage.

it has taken many many months of healing and growth before i could bring myself to weave in those ends and finish the blanket. the fact that i could do so knowing there was a little brother on the way, was very reassuring. it was still a very emotional and tearful moment though to finally cut off the final end.
