I had bought the yarn for this hat a long time ago. We were going to the coast for vacation so I feverishly started and finished this hat in one day.

I love it!!! It was such a satisfying knit. It fits my big ole head perfectly too.

The Big Irish Head is a thing.

It’s a long time since data was published on Irish head sizes, and as our population diversifies, our head sizes may come into line with international averages.

I am asked to see lots of babies with large heads. Red flags for a large head include a bulging fontanelle, rapidly enlarging head size, prominent forehead veins, developmental delay and abnormal eye movements.

Most of the time a cranial ultrasound provides great reassurance when there is concern about head size.
