This yarn does not seem like the other Twinkle size 1 yarn. The others are buttery soft, and this one is more normal soft. It also seems a little thicker. I don’t know what to think. I would have imagined it was the other baby yarn they have that is size 2, if not for the label that says it’s size 1… don’t know…. Also, the blue is more like a medium blue, not at all a dark blue, a nice color though.

The 2 turning stitches are counted as a dc.

Once the body is done, I needed to seam up the back, but I was afraid to do it first, incase it was too tight. So, I sewed the very bottom together and crocheted around the front and back around toward the back. At that point I could stitched the seam closed and when I was done, there were no extra yarn ends.

There was one “shell” that should have been a ball stitch, so I just went thru the first stitch (on the right) and took it thru the last stitch (on the left) and pulled it shut and anchored it. Looks like the others, so all’s good. I will say that when you make the ball stitch, working from the front side, put your hook thru the first stitch from your side, outward. This will cause the ball to form on the top of the fabric. If your hook comes from the outside edge, toward you, the ball will form on the underside and need to popped out - not as easy as it sounds.
