Notes

My first attempt at color work…yay! Turns out, it’s way easy…why was I so intimidated? This was a perfect quick project to get my feet wet, plus use up some stash yarn!

Pulled out this gorgeous Malabrigo, then mixed in some scrap yarns from my Granny afghan project. At first it was not all soft and drapey…prob my fault for using a size 7 needle, but that’s what I had. My gauge was a little small and the whole thing was kindof stiff and tight. But after a good soak and blocking, it’s looking much nicer now.

I’ll probably do some version of this again, but next time I’ll do a ribbed edge, the garter edge is a little funny. It’s a great little cowl for fall here in LA…when it’s really still too warm for full-on knitwear, but you just can’t wait to start wearing scarves again!
