Notes

• I used CherilynQ’s Easy Fingerless Gloves pattern from YouTube which I altered a little bit to fit my needs.
• I chained 30 using a Hdc Chainless Foundation to make glove a little longer. I continued pattern on Row 2.
• I had to adjust the width – I did 9 Rows before starting the 9th Row of pattern.
• For this Version I Extended Thumb.
Fingerless Gloves Pattern (Make 2)
Row 1 : Ch 25 using the Hdc Chainless Foundation.
Rows 2 - 8 : Ch 1, Hdc in 1st stitch, Hdc BLO to the last stitch – Hdc in last stitch. To adjust width add rows to thickness of hand (not counting thumb) repeating Row – “Ch 1, Hdc in first stitch, Hdc BLO to the last stitch – Hdc in last stitch.” Keep count how many rows you add for later on in pattern. When you are happy with the width continue to Row 9.
Row 9 : Slip Stitch in 1st stitch (don’t pull to tight), Slip stitch BLO into the next 12 stitches (13 sl sts total), HDC BLO in the remaining stitches to the last stitch- HDC.
Row 10 (create thumb) : Ch 1, Hdc BLO in 6 sts, Ch 6, skip 6 stitches, Slip Stitch BLO to the end of the row.
Row 11 : Slip Stitch in 1st stitch, Slip Stitch BLO next 12 stitches, Hdc into each hump of the Chain 6 for the thumb, Hdc BLO across to last stitch- Hdc in last stitch.
Note : Place stitch marker on the first and last stitch to keep count on rows.
Rows 12 - 19 : Ch 1, Hdc in 1st stitch, Hdc BLO to the last stitch – Hdc in last stitch.
Note : If you added rows to adjust width you need to do the same amount of rows you did before Row 9 to make even.
To add an Extended Thumb
I like extending thumb after assembly because it makes it easier to determine the desired length I want thumb Extended by trying it on.
Round 1 : Fold on Wrong Side with thumb hole on crease of fold. Attach yarn, blo hdc in each 6 stitches on side, 1 blo hdc for corner, 6 blo hdc on side, 1 flo blo in corner stitch (14 blo hdc),
Round 2 : Slip Stitch, Ch 1, Hdc (14 hdc),
Round 3 : Slip Stitch, Ch 1, blo hdc in each 6 stitches on side, 1 blo hdc for corner, 6 blo hdc on side, 1 blo in corner stitch (14 blo hdc),
Round 4 : Slip Stitch, Ch 1, hdc2tog (7 hdc).
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Note : Should you want to increase thumb Repeat Rounds 2 and 3 to desired length.
Flip inside out and enjoy.
