12/11/2011 --- With some help from my husband (he knit the last five dishcloths), Death By Dishcloths 2011 is complete! Maybe I’ll learn my lesson and NOT knit dishcloths next year. If I do, I’ll try to start earlier and stick with the project until it’s done!
12/10/2011 --- I’ve recruited my husband to knit dishcloths with me, as my family’s Christmas gathering is in 8 days. We’ve reached critical mass. It doesn’t look good.
12/5/2011 --- 19 1/2 dishcloths down. I’m getting soooo sick of these!
11/30/2011 --- I have 15 dishcloths done and one about 1/3 done so far. I have enough yarn left to make about 47 more dishcloths, but I only need 13. I’ve been tying the ends of my skeins together and winding them into a giant ball. When I start making dishcloths from that, it’ll be pretty horrendous.
11/26/2011 --- So my goal number of dishcloths is actually 28 (36 if I’m lucky) and I have 10 done so far. I work on them whenever I can and I don’t have a whole boatload of time to work on them. My husband and I watch movies in our spare time and try to get our knitting done. He’s working on a log cabin blanket, and I’m just knitting away at my dishcloths… to be continued…
11/19/2011 --- I tried doing patterned dishcloths, but I feel like something as inane as dishcloths shouldn’t take so long. So I switched back to good ol’ grandma dishcloths and I got a whopping…3 more done. I’ll definitely finish them by Christmas, no problem, but I’ll be bored as heck making them.
8/26/2011 --- I’m starting these WAY early. My goal is to use a stitch dictionary and make some different patterns so I don’t get bored with the typical “grandma’s dishcloth” pattern. Yeah, we’ll see how that goes.
