The Blizzard Hat and Scarf
I think I need to chain less to start. Maybe 5 less. This is coming out too long for mini AG. The yarn is splitty too. I hope that’s just this yarn. I really want to like this pattern. I’m going to set this one aside and try one with fewer stitches. A black one. I must be a glutton for punishment.

I think I’m going to frog this and start over with a 16 chain beginning. The black one fits perfectly.

I tried frogging and couldn’t get my stitch to pull out. First time I’ve ever not been able to unravel crochet. I wound up breaking the yarn.

That little piece of crochet has been bugging me. For some reason I didn’t just throw it out.
I got the idea yesterday after picking it up for the umpteenth time, that it might make a cute purse. I tightened up the slip stitch end and folded it down for a flap. I stitched up the purse section starting at the bottom, chained 30 for a strap and attached it at the top of the opposite purse section. I stitched to the bottom. I really like the shape of this little purse.
I have no idea how many rows I did before bailing on the hat. It looks like four ridges. I think this is cute enough to try again. Hopefully I won’t run into the splitting issue. Funny thing is that this yarn didn’t split at all using a larger C hook.
