I finished the hat just now. I want to add an orchid colored flower.

I am low on this color yarn, so I measured to see if I would have enough for one more hat. The main hat took just under ten yards. It took two yards to do the crab stitch around the hat. That could be done with a different color on the next one if I need to. I’m thinking I may have an orchid embroidery floss and try that.

One more finished with only 29” of the thread left over. I did the crab stitch around this one too.

I’m working on a posy blossom to add to the hats I made this week. Of course, I didn’t record which blossom or hook size. So far today I have made one D blossom with a 2.25 mm hook.

I stacked a B blossom on top of the D for the second hat. Go bold or go home, right?

It looks like the first hat is trimmed with a B blossom. The flower look a bit different, but is the same size as the one I just crocheted. Who knows what I might have done differently.

Well, I figured out what I did differently on the first hat. I used a different pattern.

Magic circle. Ch 4, sl st into the circle, repeat for a total of five petals. I made another one today.

I also made the D blossom with a size 7, 1.65mm hook.It turned out cute too. I think I’ll wait to attach this one and let the prize winner pick.
