02/14/10: Unfortunately I have been too busy to swatch before the ravelympics. Now it took me two days to figure out how I want the edging to be, and I was extremely unwilling to figure out the numbers. Just today I got it, though, and will cast on today. Phew.
02/15/10: It went quite well, I had to undo the cast-on only three or four times because I found out that making a gauge swatch really would have helped. I ended up casting on way less stitches than I had at first. Also I couldn’t resist to make the first part prettier, and now it’s more complicated… More charting. But then it looks great.
02/22/10: For more than three days now I couldn’t figure out how to do the next part. But then, finally this morning I had the right idea. Now I’ve charted most of the scarf already, and there are only about 30 more rows to knit on the first half. Which means I can start working on the pattern tomorrow or the day after. Maybe this will be finished in time after all.

02/27/10: And then it didn’t work and I had to rip back the last part and re-design the part before that, and then I didn’t have any time; but this morning I finished the design, and I managed to knit the whole first half of the scarf. Phew. Now all I have to do is knit the other half and write the pattern until tomorrow evening. Easy…

02/28/10: Finished knitting the sample at 16.45. Now for writing the rest of the pattern. Finished writing the pattern and uploading it to my blog at 21.45
