It only took almost nineteen months, but I have transformed more than 1000 of the crochet remnants that had collected in my crochet empire over the previous 20 years into five and six-inch squares that are bound for Colima, Mexico, as part of Project Amigo. Most of the squares have been shipped, but I’ve got just under 300 going out tomorrow.
I am so glad I got the opportunity to do this. It has me completely rethinking how I approach my crochet.
If you want to read yet another blog post on crochet and transformation, I have written this one I call “A Thousand Rehabbed Crochet Squares”.
Thanks for stopping to read my notes.

I got a request for 5” and 6” square for Project Amigo, and it turns out I had a ton of them hanging around that aren’t part of anything.
I am working to get them to the sizes the need to be, and then I will ship them off. From folly to purpose!
