I didn’t use a pattern, but here’s overall how I did:
Legs, body and head (made together)
Rnd 1: 6 sc in mr (6)
Rnd 2: inc x6 (12)
Rnd 3-8: 12 sc (12)
Fasten off and make another leg (rnd 1-8), but don’t fasten off the second time. Instead continue:
Rnd 9: ch 3, 12 sc (in the first leg, you made), 3 sc in the 3 chains from the start of the round, 12 sc (in the second leg, you made), 3 sc on the other side of the ch 3 from the start of the round (30)
* NOTE that the start of the round has now moved three stitches to the left.
In the following, I suggest not making the dec and inc in the same stitch each round. Mix it up and spread them unevenly from round to round.
Rnd 10: (9 sc, inc) x 3 (33)
Rnd 11-12: 33 sc (33)
Rnd 13: (9 sc, dec) x3 (30)
Rnd 14: (8 sc, dec) x3 (27)
Rnd 15: (7 sc, dec) x3 (24)
Rnd 16: (6 sc, dec) x3 (21)
Rnd 17: (5 sc, dec) x3 (18)
Rnd 18: (4 sc, dec) x3 (15)
Rnd 19: (3 sc, dec) x3 (12)
Now you begin to increase to make the head. Stuff the legs and body with filling. Don’t fasten off, just continue:
Rnd 20: (sc, inc) x6 (18)
Rnd 21: (2 sc, inc) x6 (24)
Rnd 22: (3 sc, inc) x6 (30)
Rnd 23: (4 sc, inc) x6 (36)
Rnd 24-27: 36 sc (36)
Rnd 28: (4 sc, dec) x6 (30)
Rnd 29: (3 sc, dec) x6 (24)
Rnd 30: (2 sc, dec) x6 (18)
Rnd 31: (sc, dec) x6 (12)
Stuff head with filling
Rnd 32: dec x 6 (6)
Cut yarn and sew into the front loop of each of the six stiches and fasten off.
Ears (make two)
Rnd 1: 6 sc in mr (6)
Rnd 2: inc x 6 (12)
Rnd 3: (sc, inc) x6 (18)
Rnd 4: (2 sc, inc) x6 (24)
Rnd 5: (3 sc, inc) x6 (30)
Rnd 6-9: 30 sc (30)
Rnd 10: (8 sc, dec) x3 (27)
Rnd 11: 27 sc (27)
Rnd 12: (7 sc, dec) x3 (24)
Rnd 13: 24 sc (24)
Rnd 14: (6 sc, dec) x3 (21)
Rnd 15: 21 sc (21)
Rnd 16: (5 sc, dec) x3 (18)
Rnd 17: 18 sc (18)
Rnd 18: (4 sc, dec) x3 (15)
Rnd 19-20: 15 sc (15)
Rnd 21: (3 sc, dec) x3 (12)
Rnd 22: 12 sc (12)
Rnd 23: (2 sc, dec) x3 (9)
Rnd 24: 9 sc (9)
Rnd 25: (sc, dec) x3 (6)
Leave a long tail, cut yarn and use the long tail to sew the ears onto the head.
Arms
Rnd 1: 6 sc in mr
Rnd 2: (sc, inc) x3 (9)
Rnd 3: 9 sc (9)
Rnd 4: dec, 7 sc (8)
Rnd 5: dec, 6 sc (7)
Rnd 6: dec, 5 sc (6)
Rnd 7-10: 6 sc (6)
Stuff only the “hand”. Leave a long tail, cut off yarn, and sew onto the body
Embroyder nose, eyes and eyebrows on the face with black yarn or thread (I’ve used black 4/8 cotton yarn)
