I’ve used 175 grams in total of the grey yarn and 138 grams in total of the orange yarn, but in different dye lots.

As I’m using different yarn than in the pattern, my gauge is a bit smaller, and therefore I’ve made an additional 3x48 stitches (144 extra stitches) to get the length I wanted.

I initially wanted to make the leaves orange, but I made a full 22 rows before I realized, that I had mixed up the colors. So be it, I think it looks amazing either way

About the pattern
I chose to do FPdc and FPtr in some places where the pattern instructed to do regular dc and tr. I liked the look of the FP stitches better in the orange “veins” of the leaves and in the pointy edges in between each leaf. I liked how the FP stitches looked as the “veins” on the leaf on the monstera bag (also a pattern from Natalia Kononova) and wanted to use that technique again here.
As always, Natalia Kononova has made an easy-to-follow pattern including written instructions, charts, and videos and as always it’s been a pleasure following her pattern. I have nothing bad to say about her work. Everything I’ve made from her patterns have turned out absolutely fantastic!
Also, there’s always a lot of help to get from her Facebook group “Outstanding crochet and friends”, where she’s always eager to help and explain, if you have trouble with something in the pattern.
