Notes

I cast on all the double bed on my two KX350.

I used the crochet cast on every needle with a contrasting color. Then I knit one row by hand.

I arranged the needles in 5 by 2. with 2 needles out of work. I knitted about 3.5 inches of fake rib.

Then I knitted one row by hand double e-wrapping the stitches that were empty.

I made a row of eyelets with the contrasting color. 2 rows.

Carriage on hold

I started short rowing leaving the needles on hold on the sides and wrapping the last needle to avoid holes. First I put 5 needles on hold on each side 5 times, then 4 needles 5 times, then 3 needles one time and finally one at a time until there were about 25 inches of needles in working position in the middle. I stopped here because I ran out of yarn.

I used the contrasting yarn again and knit 2 rows, 1 row of eyelets and then 2 rows, while continuing the short rows.

Carriage no longer on hold. Starting at the beginning of the bed I knitted one row with the contrasting yarn.

I knitted one very lose row with the contrasting color by hand, knitting all the way back to the end of the base of the needles for a very lose stitch. Then I cast off with the latch tool.

I steamed the shawl.
