Notes

I’d bought some luscious items from a Talbots outlet store almost 20 YEARS ago in order to reclaim the yarn from them. The reclaimed yarn, a cotton/wool/angora blend, has been sitting in a ziplock for all this time! I finally figured out what to use it for and I’m really happy with it! (The clothing tag says it’s dry clean only, but I’m going to risk wet-blocking this.)

This pattern is such a joy to knit - it just flies off the needles once the stitch pattern gets memorized. This is the second one I made for the March/April 2023 KAL.

I worked 11 reps in each section, not 10. I wanted to make sure the cowl was fairly loose.

I loved the contrast between my two colors and decided to add a couple of extra garter rows, alternating the colors, between the sections. I’d hoped it might add more visual interest and I think it did.

In order to work the final kitchener grafting, I used the thorough instructions provided at the end of the pdf for the Lochmoor Headband.
