This is a wonderful, straight-forward project! Looks great in a long-striping yarn too. I totally lucked out in the way the colors balanced themselves symmetrically in this yarn, in this size, and where I just happened to start the cast on sts. It looks intentional, but it was just a happy coincidence!

I wanted my four buttons spaced out just a teensy bit more so I put an extra stitch between them. (Specifically, I worked the buttonhole row like this with RS facing: K7, yo, k2tog; rep three more times, end with k2.
