4/14/14: Oh my gosh, this morning I heard from the recipient of my scarf, Stephanie Kloos #27919, who is running with the MIT Strong team, honoring Officer Sean Collier. She received my scarf at the Sports Illustrated photoshoot! I worked at MIT for 10 years and although I didn’t know Sean, his death felt personal to me. Never in a million years did I think that someone at MIT would receive one of my scarves! Incredible!

Needles & Hooks: Denise

Finished size: Slightly off from pattern - 5.5” x 34”

Long tail cast on on size 8.

Modified pattern to have just one keyhole at color break.

With blue, knit in garter stitch for 3”.
Switch to yellow, K17, turn work, bind of 13 sts of blue, turn work again, cable cast-on 13sts of yellow, continue knitting across.
Knit yellow for 3”, bind off with size 9/I hook.

Supposed to be one size, but feels like this would have to be for someone with a small neck.
