Bought this yarn on a sale at ACMoore, then this easy pattern popped up in my Facebook feed again. Thought the simple stitch combination would show off the gorgeous yarn, and it did. But even though the gauge worked up matching, it must be heftier, because it just did not lay right on me. Then again, I have stated over and over that I just don’t look good in patterns with no shoulder shaping. And I didn’t want to mess with that center seam, so I worked the back as one piece. It looked hideous on me with the side seams shown as instructed. I tried several iterations and was about to frog this when I came up with crossing the fronts and sewing the bottoms to the sides of the back. May wear it. Backwards seems to look better.

Now I have basically a poncho, which is the photo suggestion on the yarn wrapper. But I don’t wear ponchos, so am assuming this will be frogged. Will give it a test run at least. If only to have photos that aren’t in my pajamas XD Feeling very defeated and am going to lay off projects for a while. At least until after the painting is done. That’s the reason for the clutter around the mirror.
