Julie wanted this shawl and asked someone to knit it for her. I volunteered if she bought the yarn, which she did off of a Craftsy kit in the “Ice” colors.

Second ball of black weighs 49.6g. I ran out of it on the second to last ridge needed, oops! I might need to end the shawl slightly early to make sure I have enough grey. Luckily, the pattern accounts for that and gives suggestions if it needs to end early.
Second ball of white weighs 50.2g and started its use halfway through ridge 47.

Second ball of grey weighs 50g and started its use on ridge 66.

Finished, washed, and blocked a couple days ago. All in all, an easy knit. By the end, a single ridge (2 rows) took just shy of 3g of yarn. So, I played a little bit of yarn chicken and won.
A couple tips:
- When doing the striping, when I switched to the next color, I’d slip the first stitch and pull the previous color’s yarn to the front and slip the stitch back before beginning that row with the new color. This results in the color not being used kind of carried on the “inside”.
- I actually wrote out the pattern in full because I just can’t keep track of 70+ ridges or even the multiple repeats at the beginning. Rather, I can, it just would have been more cumbersome than I would have preferred. Other ways to do this include spreadsheets and what not. I found it helpful to put stitch markers every 10 or 20 stitches and knowing the final stitch count for every increase row.
