I bought the SpaceCadet yarn bundle in Dark Skies. After doing the striping swatches, I decided on the Light Emphasis stripe pattern.
I actually finished the knitting up in January, I think. But, since I opted to do stripes, finishing everything up took a long time because…well, wow, there are a lot of ends to weave in. D:
Eventually I’ll put a picture up of the finished product, but, lessons learned, for if I do this sweater again:
-
If doing stripes, for sanity, weave in as you go or at least do a few color changes and then weave in. If stripes aren’t a huge priority, consider just knitting until a color runs out and switching so that there are way less ends to weave in (I think there are notes in the pattern about how much to set aside for the sleeves if you want the sleeve stripes to match up).
-
If very set on doing stripes, don’t fret too much about where the color change happens in a row. I stuck to right at the beginning which, in the end, doesn’t matter too much, but it was definitely concerning, mentally, to see all of the ends lined up down one side.

The yarn is very springy and forgiving. The pattern has notes on how to customize it for your shape. Looking back I probably didn’t need to. I knit the Large and was concerned that the arm holes would be a bit snug. But this drapes moderately and the construction of the sweater lends itself to being very forgiving, so I probably could have done without it. I haven’t decided if I’m going to try to cinch it up a bit.

Redoing for better fit (those underarms, yeesh!).
