Notes

Purchased as a kit from Shalimar Yarns’s booth at Stitches West 2016. The hank of Paulie was a mini-hank weighing 54.2g (i.e. Dear Jen, if you have less than 27.1g left after the first one, you’ll have a problem). Beads in the kit were clear with a silver lining.

The yarn is great to work with but splits easily, so using a crochet hook to place the beads is not the Best Idea. The dental floss (also in the kit) works well.

I used the Chinese Waitress cast on with a crochet hook.

Finished the first mitt. Remaining yarn weighs 37.3g.

Finished most of the second mitt when I realized it didn’t match the first (right) one. :o And then I noticed that the right one was done incorrectly. -_- There is only supposed to be 1 column of rib between the thumb and beaded section, but I’d done it with 2. Rather than frog both, I frogged the left one and made a similar design change so that they at least match.

Finished the second mitt with 20.1g of yarn left.

Thus, right mitt used 16.9g and second mitt used 17.2g of yarn. not bad!
