Notes

Conventional knitting lore decrees that lace is best knit in solid colored yarn.

Since I liked both the yarn and the pattern, I thought “screw this!” and knitted lace in self-striping yarn.

I’m a rebel of the worst kind!

Notes:

I can’t remember whether it too three or four skeins, I’ll have to weigh it.
I wasted a lot of yarn, because I tried to match the yarn repeats when attaching new skeins, and the two times I found knots in the yarn.

I added one repeat of the last pattern on each side.

I worked both halves exactly the same, because I didn’t really get the symmetry thing here.

For anyone who wants to do the same: use the bind-off pattern for the second half, it doesn’t have as many esoteric stitches as the one for the first half.
