CO as many stitches as required for 1st row.

Stitches left over after completion of a row instructions are knit and bound off on the next row.

Additional stitches needed to complete instructions for a row are cast on using cable cast on (lots of this on row 7 ! co 82 st), which means that parts of the pattern are unused (co is the same for k1 and p1 instructions for example).
