1/23/09--Using some Misti Alpaca from my stash, I cast this on last night, in the feverent desire to knit something for MY baby before it’s born.
So far so good…I even designed a very EZ looking hood as an add on after I’m done :)
1/27/09--This is coming out surprisingly well. Overall the yarn is giving this a very orange/red color.
Finished the decreases on to the increases. Hoping to get good progress done this weekend. Can’t wait to get to the hood!
2/1/09--Last night I almost got to the rows where you make the decreases for the neck! It’s moving along now. I wonder if I’ll really need both skeins…this skein of yarn is getting me through and looks pretty big still. Wow. I might have alot leftover…or I might laugh at this post in a month or so..lol..
2/15/10--Currently on hold until after the Ravelympics
1/24/12--I never got back to this. What a shame. Its beautiful, but my baby is now almost 2. I may never have another one, so this project is on hold indefinitely. :(
9/10/13--I guess never say never. I started this up again on 9/7 on the way to Ocean Beach in San Francisco. Its such a lovely project, I would have been sad if I had never finished it. Now a small object KAL in my original June 2010 mama group has encouraged me to try to get this done in time for Cricket (baby #2)’s arrival..my due date is 9/13
9/14/13--It only took me 3.5 years, but finally, I finish this! huzzah! And I have a TON of yarn left. 40g of this skein plus another 100g skein. I WAY overbought.
