I may be panicking about nothing, but when I measured these socks up against a pair that was using a Serenity sock yarn, I noticed the gusset has started at about 12.3 cm from the toe start and the Serenity socks was at about 14.5 cm. So I decided that since the Serenity socks was about 10 rounds more than the Paton’s then I would take out the gusset rounds and start them 10 rounds farther in. Will see how this works for me. I know other socks fit just fine from this and I don’t think I ever made this change before, but will try it.

I got to within 4 rounds of adding the waste yarn and tried them on. I believe 10 rounds was too many, so I have ripped back and will start the gusset increases on round 66 instead of round 70.
