A very easy pattern, the hat came out so cute!

I added felt eyes and a nose with a blanket stitch, rather than following the pattern for those two things.

I used 4-ply worsted weight yarn and described the overall process in an Instructable at:

My daughter is using the hat for her 2012 Halloween Costume, where she is going to be Hello Kitty.
