Notes

I’ve never used a Harness loom before - so this is/was quite the experience. Thanks to Jo & Carl (AshtonStudioArts) for enabling me to have this experience! :-)

Sun - set up table/floor loom; Very excited but scared - can i do this??

Mon - measured warp on warping board

Tues - re-did the warp measuring because I decided I wanted to separate the threads into 10 thread bundles for the raddle; Started threading the heddles; Somehow I mis-counted and have 77 threads (not 87 threads) - WHOOPS! At that point, couldn’t easily recover from that mistake- so decided to have a slightly narrower scarf

Wed - started weaving (YAY!!)
Actually am quite surprised that the huck pattern is coming out exactly right! I’m not using the foot pedals - just the hand levers. I actually like it that way. Not sure I could make my feet move too.

Thur - continued weaving; making good progress

Fri/Sat/Sun - weave, weave, weave. Seemed like miles of weaving. Finally cut off loom and wet finished. Came out perfect!

All the things that Jo & Carl (AshtonStudioArts) warned me about before I undertook this project - well, it certainly made sense when I was doing the project because I made the exact mistakes that they mentioned :-)
