I added 3 rounds of single crochet around the top. When working the handle, I shortened it. Instead of skipping 10 stitches, chain 20, then work 5 sc, I skipped 10 stitches, chained 15, then worked 5 sc to join, then worked 4 more rounds of sc. I crocheted a chain stitch string about 22 inches long and threaded it through the last row of dc clusters to make a drawstring. I finished by making 2 small, bright flowers and sewing them to the ends of the string for decoration.
