Notes

This pattern is a one size fits all so I set about the difficult task of enlarging the pattern to fit me. Since the pattern is top-down, knit in the round and the motifs all have different stitch count repeats this presented some math challenges to say the least. As well as adding extra stitches for the width I added extra length before dividing for the sleeves so that the oversized fit would be maintained.
I also changed the sleeves. The pattern has them poufing out which looks great on smaller people but I didn’t think this would suit me. I went with a smoother look and reworked the chart a bit to add more ribs in the underarm part. I colour coded the charts to make them easier to read. The dark grey colour made cabling on 3.25 mm needles very difficult. I had to use my Ott light for sure! The tubular bind off for the sleeve cuff is an awesome finish but I had to watch youtube videos over and over again to get the sequence right. I had to redo one cuff a few times before I got it right. I’m glad I stuck with it though as it provides a very stable sleeve edge.
I added some short row shaping to the back to raise the back neckline to accommodate my rounded shape. I added 8 short rows right after the neckline and before I started the patterning. I added another 2 short rows after the first chart of pink, before chart 2. Otherwise the neck would have dipped down in the back.
