Notes

Loved making this shawl. Love the finished project. My second lace project. Other than having to pay close attention to the chart, the knitting was not that difficult. I downloaded the pattern from the Pink Lemonade website which was a real advantage because I printed an extra copy and then crossed off the finished stitches and rows with a pencil as I went along. This really helped to keep me sorted. The pattern called for 1000 yards of laceweight yarn using 3.5 mm needles but I used 900 yards of much heavier yarn. The finished size is 21” X 107” as opposed to the 20” X 77” that it would have been in laceweight. I was surprised that it didn’t get much deeper, just a lot longer. I like the thicker yarn and the bigger size but it would have been nice the other way too. I enjoyed knitting this project so much that I’ve just signed up to knit Mystery Stole 4!
