Teardrop Lake shawl is my design for the San Diego Yarn Crawl this September. The pattern will be available for free to those who visit Apricot Yarn and Supply shop during the yarn crawl and will be available on Raverly for purchase after that.

Exploring a very popular shawl shape among knitters, but a new one for me, which is a sideways asymmetrical shawl. I have never been attracted to this particular shape and, for better or worth, I am not into trends in my knitting or other aspects of my life. However, I did wanted to see how this shape knits up and how wearable it is. Wear-ability was always an issue for me when I was looking at these shawls on Ravelry. So, I am giving it a try! I am using my precious skein of Pigeonroof Studios Luxury Sock in Railroad stake colorway (the darker color in pics), as Krista of Pigeoroof Studios is closing her yarn shop as of July 15. I have always admired Krista’s dye work and still have some yarn left in my stash to enjoy.
