This is inspired from an idea in Debbie New’s book Unexpected Knitting
The pattern is a 24 stitch repeat wide by 12 rows.
I started with a random set of 0 and 1 across first row then subsequent rows made using formula if (stitch above)equals the one (two to the right and one above) then answer is 1 otherwise 0.
Repeat came out at 12 rows not sure why yet. More to explore here.
The repeat of 24 sts wide is the limit of the punchcard.
Looking forward to trying more designs.
Used an excel spreadsheet to print out design first.
Have lots more designs by tweaking the formula and the initial conditions.
