My Friend R and I decided that we will make a join venture baby blanket for a friend. She is expecting a baby girl in October.
In a bid not to go to pink but still stay girly we came up with this combo of colours. After a lot of coffee time and a couple of delicious beignets.. we came up with the idea to only make two treble rows of the granny squares- we think it will give it a more whimsical (hence girly) feel. At the end will will join the squares (144 of them) with the purple pink colour and make a border with the same colour…

Finally finished! I am really pleased with the way it came out… (even if it is a lilttle delayed)

Baby Girl was born on October 24 - and is called Maryam
