3/28/14 - I decided it was time to step up a little from scarves and other simple stuff! I’ve learned that patterns look harder than they are generally.

Had to cast on and knit first row three times as I (1) forgot to count the slip knot as a stitch and (2) left off the stitch markers twice. Takes some concentration but the pattern is really very easy.

5/20/14 - I ran into a few hiccups on this project, due mostly to my being only a second year knitter. I learned a LOT. I had to figure out a few tweaks to the pattern since I knit it flat rather than in the round and that meant reversing what the pattern said to do on every other row. Personal stuff happened that made this project take WAY longer than it should have. An experienced person could do the whole thing in under 10 hours I’m sure.

Anyway I love the pattern, and this yarn is the BEST to work with!
