Notes

Gorgeously soft Merino in an absolutely gorgeous colour, a sort of smoky grape colour.
This is 3 strands of 2/30nm wound together, so approx 500m per 100g.

Doing the larger size. Using 4mm needles.
Decided not to do pivot cast in / off, just doing 6 knit rows.

Started February 2. Very easy knit, did re-do the chart to make it easier to read and for the eye to scan.

Each repeat taking about 30mins, so hopefully should grow reasonably quick and be finished before long. Pattern suggests 40 repeats long, will see what length that gives me and decide if I want more.

Decided I wanted it a little longer so did extra 7 repeats, so 47 in total.n
Just need to block now
Pics soon

Keep debating whether or not I should unpick and add an extra lace panel to the width!!?!! Think it will grow with the blocking but not sure how by much, want a shawl/stole rather than a scarf………

March 18. So I finally got round to blocking this, which was a complete pain and took me ages!!
Wanted to try and keep the scollop’s on the edges but couldn’t seem to get it right or matching on both sides so decided to make it straight instead :-(

My edges aren’t overly straight, so don’t look too close, but it’s for me and I don’t think anyone will notice once it’s dry and being worn. Really need to get some blocking wires as I think it would have made things much easier.
They are on my pressy list and I keep dropping hints so you never know!!!!

Just need to wait for this to dry, which shouldn’t take long as it’s quite warm today.
Will add more pics once it’s dry
