I thought the Passion flower stitch would make nice mittens and fingerless mitts. (I made a pair of full mittens also; but did a better job on the fingerless mitts. ;-)

The stitch is an easy 17-stitch repeat (see bottom photo). I found this stitch pattern in the Big Book of Knitting Stitch Patterns (Amazon has this book).
