19/1/2015- I wonder if this will be a better project whilst I am struggling with stiffness of the arm/ shoulder/ kneck. It needs to be finished by the cherubs 2nd birthday in April. I’m not sure who I can get to sew in the lining. “Future-shez” problem, so I will forge ahead.

1/2/2015- I unpicked, I restarted, I battled the decreases (I’m very inexperienced with crochet!), but now have completed the crochet part. Just need to weave in ends, purchase fabric for lining, and find a volunteer to sew in the lining! I’m a total match made in hell with sewing, be it by hand (wonky) or machine (I kill machines). The hat fits my head when fully outstretched so I feel positive of it fitting our little Mr.
