Getting ahead for winter during the off-season! I always curse myself for not being better prepaired when the weather turns cold, so I am learning my lesson and keeping up with the projects over summer.

I’m hoping I will know when it is complete who would suit this cowl.

4/1/2014-Finito!!! Hubby is not convinced about the look of it, however, once season’s change, I’m sure he will see the art that is.

For reference, I loved the Shi-bui staccato colours and the yarn itself. I did not appreciate the way the skein was wrapped and twisted, making it impossible for me to knit it from end to end without untangling snags and weaving in and out of the skein to unpick knots. After the first skein, I untangled each to begin with, creating a yarnball myself to avoid the problems. This took a anywhere from half-a-knitday to a full nightly knit session! I even inflicted one on Dear Husband just to make sure it was not just me!

Did anyone else have these issues? Is there a trick to Shi-bui that I am yet to learn??
